Google Site Kit, Google's new performance tool for WordPress
Anyone who owns a Web site these days is familiar with Google performance tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Collecting data to measure online per-page performance can sometimes be perceived as difficult, due to the many different Tools.
To facilitate the above process, google has developed a new performance tool for WordPress use, “Google Site Kit.” As Google itself calls it, “Site Kit is a one-stop solution for WordPress users to use everything Google has to offer to make them successful on the web.”
Google Sit Kit is a collection of 6 different Google tools:
- Google Search Console
- Google Analytics
- Google Adsense
- Google Pagespeed Insights
- Google Tag Manager
- Google Optimize
Google Site Kit provides insight into key metrics from the 6 Google tools, the image below paints a picture of the dashboard.
It also provides insights at the page level, so when optimizing you can get instant feedback on what the performance is.

How do I install and configure Google Site Kit
- Download the file
- Install it within your WordPress environment by clicking on the Plugins tab and then click new plugin. Upload the file and click install.
- Create the link between your Google Account and Google Site Kit by clicking “Sign in with Google” and follow the instructions.
- Done, you can now choose in settings to link multiple Tools so you get a complete overview of your web performance.
