Quality content: how your content will conquer the SEO top!

We have recently seen a lot of content being written using AI. This proportion is only increasing with the advent of AI tools such as ChatGPT. From our clients, we increasingly get the question; is this content valuable to my target audience? In this article, we answer this question.

What is quality content?

Quality content are website elements with the goal of further helping the target audience with their needs on your website. In other words, answering the user’s search question. This does not necessarily have to be content but can also be a form or infographic. You should always consider what is relevant to a website visitor.

To give an example, when people search for: get car insurance. Then in this case the best answer is: focus on a premium tool and not on a dry content page of 1,000 words.

The above example is from carinsurance.co.uk where the urgency is mainly placed in the action (filling out the form). Other important elements on the web page: Reviews, steps (how to apply) and comparing packages.

AI vs qualitative content

The difference between quantity and quality is in the type of content, emotion, identity and overall elaboration. Quantitative content, AI content, contains a boring tone, without identity and is written without thought. The only advantage of AI content is that you can set it up scalably. The problem is that the content often does not appeal to the target audience in the right way and thus the top rankings are also off in Google.

Quality content is written for the target audience from a corporate identity where a full-blown keyword research was conducted and also looked at competition.

Why is it important to invest in quality content?

Ultimately, any business that is consciously doing SEO is investing in his/her own business. The goal of this investment is that you will get something in return. When you choose to focus on quantitative content and thus use AI solutions, for example, the results will often be lacking.

Investing in quality content will actually show that it pays for itself. Why? Because it adds value to your website for your target audience and also for search engines like Google. It shows that you have done thorough research to find the best answer and translated it correctly into the content on your web page.

How to write quality content

It all starts with doing good research on the topic you are going to write about. Do a keyword research where the volumes show which focus keywords are interesting. Then start thinking carefully about what content you want to write about, purely the structure, i.e. the heading structure, not the content.

When this stands you start looking at what competitors are doing. You do this by simply entering the keyword into Google and see what comes up here. Sum up the learnings:

  • What topics are named (what does their heading structure look like)?
  • Will image/video material be used?
  • Are specific Web site elements used (e.g., forms)?
  • Are sources important?

Based on the research, you can now start building the ideal web page and writing quality content.

When this is completed, the most important thing actually begins … Data checking!

  1. Check in your tooling (e.g. Google Search Console) or of course in Google itself what is happening in terms of positions
  2. Is your page well read, does it meet the requirements of your target audience?

Above example: a page where the content was adjusted based on data to even better provide the answer to a competitive search term.

From the conclusion you can further optimize the web page and you will end up with a qualitatively strong page.

Conclusion

I hope I was able to inspire you to choose to invest in quality content rather than mere quantity. The saying “cheap is expensive” captures the essence of this article. While AI tools can accelerate the pace of content creation, they lack the human nuance, deep insight and genuine connection with the target audience. These elements ensure that content truly resonates and makes an impact. Quality content is more than just words on a page; it reflects a brand’s identity, senses the needs of its target audience and positions itself as a trusted point of information. An investment in such high-quality content not only translates into better SEO positions, but also into lasting brand loyalty and customer trust.
